Kristen Stake is a poet, dancer, and bodyworker. She has studied improvisation with renowned post modern dance artists Daniel Lepkoff, Barbara Dilley, Martin Keogh, Kirstie Simson, Chris Aiken, Angie Hauser, and Portland’s own Carl Rudman. She has an MFA in Poetry Writing from Vermont College and lived at Earthdance, an improvisational dance center in Plainfield, Massachusetts, for two years. She runs Studio 408 with a collaborative of artists where she teaches Contact Improvisation and hosts regular jams.
